Become a Missionary

We want every member of our congregation to discover God’s purpose in the whole of their life and not just here at church. Therefore we want to encourage people to see themselves as missionaries in their own home, workplace, school, university, social club and circle of friends. Journey with us in figuring out how to be a church that takes seriously the call of God to serve him in the world at large.

Training Courses

In 2011 there will be a number of training events offered, including:

Pastoral Care Course commencing 17th February (four sessions fortnightly);
Prayer Ministry Training commencing 18th August (three sessions fortnightly)
A quarterly general Christian Leadership Training evening.
There will also be a basic Christianity Course offered in May

Morning Worship

Sunday morning services at Toowong Uniting resemble the gathering of an extended family. All ages join together for worship and teaching combining a variety of styles, echoing Jesus words in Matthew 13, “The wise Teacher of the Law brings forth from his storehouse treasures both old and new.”

K.A.T.S. (Kids At Toowong on Sunday)

Runs during the Sunday morning service. Children participate in worship for half the service and then head downstairs for their own activities led by our capable Children’s’ Worker, Faith Kendall.

Bible Study

Woman’s Bible Study

Our Women’s Bible study meets fortnightly at the church on Thursdays at 9.30am with babysitting provided. Please call the church office for more details.

Occasional Studies

Throughout the year groups meet on an occasional basis for bibles studies of fixed duration, e.g., for six studies. These groups usually meet fortnightly on the alternate weeks to the Pastorate gatherings. Contact the church office for more detail.
